The finals of these championships were held on 7th & 8th March 2009 at Glenrothes. All top swimmers from clubs throughout the Lothians, the Borders and Fife had qualified and the competition, as you would imagine, was very tough.
Midlothian swimmers were involved in the very first event with Jo Pettitt and Fiona Inglis competing in the 12/13 years 100m freestyle. Both girls had been suffering for a considerable time with viruses and were not quite at their best, but performed really well under the circumstances.
